Congratulations on joining the Kalgoorlie Tri Club – an elite group of
athletes (well, we’re trying!) and socialites (in our own minds). As
we welcome you into our fold, we’d like to fill you in on a few
responsibilities and the many benefits of belonging to the KTC.
First, the responsibilities, then on to the good stuff…
 |
All members are responsible
to marshal for a minimum of one club event (or convincing a friend
or family member to do it in your stead). Marshalling duties include
the incredibly challenging tasks of timing and standing on corners
to make sure everyone goes the right way. To organise your
marshaling responsibility, contact any one of our committee members, Contact details on our
website. |
 |
Pitching in a hand with race
day setup. Setup starts at
7am before every race and take down after. More hands make for
lighter work! |
 |
Contact the committee with
any concerns/queries (see committee list for contact details – we
promise we don’t bite!). |
 |
Rocking up for race days and
training events ready to have a great time! |
And now for the good stuff…
 |
Insurance coverage for each
and every event and training session |
 |
Organized training sessions
including transition training, BRICK (bike/run) sessions, running
intervals and early morning swims – and (fingers crossed!!) a day of
training with an elite coach from Perth. |
 |
After race re-fuelling
snacks (thanks Cathy!) |
 |
10 club events including 1
Enduro and 2 chances at being club champion via handicap points or
scratch time |
 |
The option of short or long
course events |
 |
Information and contact for
races in such fantastic locations as Esperance,
Albany, Perth and Norseman |
 |
The option to compete in
prestigious events such as the KEN series (Kalgoorlie,
Esperance, Norseman Tri Circuit) |
 |
A plethora of social events
including such winners as Christmas cocktails, club BBQs and season
wind-up. |
 |
A social network of
like-minded active individuals always out to put in their best and
have a great time. |
Remember, you – as one of our valued members – are an integral part of
the Kalgoorlie Tri Club. If you’re not sure of what you can do, or
what to get involved with, please don’t hesitate to contact any one of
your committee members. We look forward to everyone’s contribution
that will turn this season into a ripper!
